Prior to the beginning of the Women’s World Cup, we wrote about many of the Bay Area options for watching the tournament. This Sunday, the tournament  comes to a close with a rematch of the 2011 finalists, with the USA  facing Japan.

Excitement for the tournament only increased with each subsequent USWNT victory, and local pubs have been drawing crowds.  So let’s review your options for watching the Final.

You can watch the match on a big screen at Civic Center Plaza presented by America SCORES Bay Area and SF Rec and Parks Dept. Full info here.

The American Outlaws, the unofficial USA supporters group, has 3 Bay Area chapters. The AO San Francisco Chapter watches at McTeague’s Saloon, AO Oakland at Luka’s Tap Room, and AO San Jose at Jack’s Bar.  All are sure to be packed with vocal fans.

Longtime footy pub, Kezar Pub was recently voted Best Sports Bar by San Francisco Magazine and always has a great atmosphere.

Maggie McGarry’s Abbey TavernDanny Coyles, and Blackthorn Tavern, along with Kezar’s sister pub, The Mad Dog in the Fog are all great bets as well.

In the Castro, you can’t go wrong with Hi Tops, and we’re also quite partial to the food at the San Francisco Athletic Club, along with their 26 TV’s, of course!

Editors Note: Lists like these are always highly subjective, so if we’ve missed your favorite viewing location, let us know in the comments section.

The Bar (on Dolores) has only been open a few weeks, but it is turning into a great neighborhood spot that had some great crowds for thw Warriors and Blackhawks, and been seeing bigger and bigger crowds for USWNT. THE BAR is on 29th and Dolores, formerly known as Delores Corner, and before that O’Greenburgs. It also has 11 TVs, so every seat is a great one!
