Early last month, we told you about the fantastic street soccer event coming to San Francisco! And now it’s here!

Presented in conjunction with the San Francisco Recreation and Parks Department and Uniqlo USA, the event kicks off Friday afternoon and continues through Sunday.

There are 3 different 4v4 street soccer competitions being played simultaneously, food trucks, music, and more. But it is the event’s centerpiece, the Social Change Cup that always proves the most inspirational. Program participants from Street Soccer USA’s 16 national branches play one another in matches as much about perseverance, togetherness, and teamwork as they are winning.

Street Soccer board member Chris Wondolowski of the San Jose Earthquakes will be on hand Sunday to provide color commentary for the Social Change Cup Final and to present the winner’s medals.
