MLS All-Star Week Events

The MLS All-Star Game featuring the league’s top players facing off against English Premier League side, Arsenal Football Club, is this Thursday at Avaya Stadium in San Jose. As part of “MLS All-Star Week”, there are a number of free events planned for fans.

It’s important to note, while many events are free, most require fans to register for an MLS Fan Pass. The pass does not guarantee entry for the events, most of which are first come, first served.

MONDAY, JULY 25, 2016

4:00PM – Homegrown Open Training Session
Earthquakes Training Facility, San Jose

The 2016 MLS Homegrown team will host an open training at Earthquakes Training Facility from 4-5:30PM. San Jose Earthquakes’ homegrown Tommy Thompson is part of the Homegrown team led by former Earthquake and MLS legend Landon Donovan.

5:00PM – Mexico U-20 Training Session
West Valley College, Saratoga, CA

The Mexico U-20 National Team, facing the 2016 MLS Homegrown team on Wednesday, will have a training session at West Valley College.


8:00PM – Free Concert Featuring Flo Rida and Belanova
Plaza de Cesar Chavez, San Jose

Recording artists Flo Rida and Belanova treat 6,000 lucky fans to a free concert in Plaza de Cesar Chavez.


TUESDAY, JULY 26, 2016

4:00PM – MLS All-Stars Open Practice
Avaya Stadium, San Jose

The MLS All-Stars will host an open training session at Avaya Stadium. Fans and media are invited to watch the MLS All-Stars as they prepare to face Arsenal FC in the AT&T MLS All-Star Game on Thursday, July 28. Tickets are required for entry into the practice, and parking is free. Entry is available through the main gate, which opens to fans at 3:30PM

5:30 PMSpecial Olympics Unified Sports Soccer Match
Avaya Stadium, San Jose

Players from the U.S. and Canada for the Special Olympics Unified Sports All-Star Soccer Match. The match will feature athletes (both with and without intellectual disabilities) from the U.S. and Canada representing 17 MLS clubs in an East-West matchup. Parking is free.

5:30 PMSoccer Tennis
Plaza de Cesar Chavez, San Jose

The Soccer Tennis Celebration continues at Plaza de Cesar Chaves in an open-to-the public event with celebs, pros, and fans all participating in a King of the Hill style tournament. This is free, no registration required, fans can show up, meet celebs, play some soccer tennis, and win cool swag along the way.

The event host will be former U.S. and MLS star, Stu Holden, and Landon Donovan will also be there.

8:30 PMMen in Blazers MLS All-Star Game Live Show 
Plaza de Cesar Chavez, San Jose

Kyle Beckerman, Jordan Morris and Chris Wondolowski, as well as Arsenal legends Freddie Ljungberg and Liam Brady, will be among the special guests joining the irrepressible Men in Blazers for an MLS All Star Week Live Show, in downtown Plaza de Cesar Chavez.



1:00PM – MLS Works / SJ Earthquakes All-Star Community Day
Ocala Middle School, San Jose

Join MLS All-Stars on Wednesday as MLS WORKS and the San Jose Earthquakes, host the 2016 MLS All-Star Community Day, and also unveil a new mini-pitch as part of the 20 for 20 Mini-Pitch Initiative.

Kids of all ages can enjoy soccer clinics and skill challenges as well as other attractions throughout the afternoon. Registration available by emailing MLS Works.


6:00PM – MLS Homegrown Game
Avaya Stadium, San Jose

Watch premier, young “Homegrown” players, coached by Landon Donovan, take on the Mexico U-20 National Team at Avaya Stadium. San Jose Earthquake Tommy Thompson will participate in the game.



8:00AM – MLS Works All-Star Day Of Service
San Pedro Square Market, San Jose,

MLS Works has teamed up with Wells Fargo to present diverse volunteer opportunities for MLS All-Star guests, Wells Fargo employees and San Jose Earthquakes affiliates to give back to the city of San Jose while in-market for All-Star festivities. Kick-off at San Pedro Square Market; Service opportunities at various locations throughout San Jose

4:30PM – MLS All-Star Game
Avaya Stadium, San Jose,

The MLS All-Star Team will take on English Premier League club Arsenal FC at Avaya Stadium, home of the San Jose Earthquakes.
